The falconry leg kit is made up of the battery cover adapted to the leg mount and the strap for attaching the transmitter to the animal’s leg. Models F22 allow this mounting system to be used alternated with others by just unscrewing the battery cover

The leg mount system means the animal is handled less when fixing on the transmitter. Birds of prey are also used to wearing objects on their legs, such as fetters or bells, so they do not regard the transmitter as an unfamiliar object. As it is fixed to the leg, the antenna is easy to reach by the bird so it is not unusual for it to bite or bend it. This is not a problem as it is interchangeable and can be replaced if broken.
